We are announcing our latest academy development. Dog Trainers are usually affiliated with a kennel, or want to be. Is your dream to own or operate a kennel some day? We have created a comprehensive hands on/while living it, training program that lasts three (that's right!) three months. During this time, you will live on campus and for three solid straight months you will be learning and operating a boarding/grooming/training kennel business! Just think, unlike college or correspondence courses, you will not only be gaining the necessary business, marketing and operations skills, you will be gaining hands on experience to set you on your path! If you are really looking for that life changing most wonderful job on the planet, seriously consider training through our Kennel Manager/Owner Academy. Academy start dates are listed in our class schedule. Kat practices positive reward-based training, opening communication between owners and their pets so that all learn to happily co-exist. Owner of All Creatures Country Club, a boarding/grooming/training kennel facility that she designed and her husband built opening in 1998. Three years later, Kat purchased the competitions boarding/grooming facility, renamed it All Critters Bed n Biscuit, added training and Natural Foods while her husband spent several years renovating to bring this facility up to her exacting standards for pet care. Kat is also Executive Director and co-founder of GreenePets Foster Network, a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue organization, that helps with rescue, placement and spay/neuter issues in East Tennessee. At one time GreenePets published Critter Magazine for the East Tennessee, South West Virginia area, including area animal rescues for free, to help everyone succeed in rehoming the displaced.
Her Dog Training specialties include: Kat's K9 Cadets is especially proud of the Academies which further Positive Dog Training by creating that most necessary comodity, NEW Positive Dog Trainers with the specialized skills of scientific learning principles!
Academies and Apprentice Programs Include: Housing for our Academies, like our Camps may be available on campus, always ask if you would like to stay here. (See our website for further details.) www.Greatandsmall.net Enjoy a 3-Day Weekend work camp for aggressive, reactive or shy dogs, with housing available on campus. We also offer 3-Day Weekend work camps for Recalls and other specific training issues. (Email if you have a particular subject you would like trained. She subscribes to numerous groups with both professional and non-professional trainers. She collects as much positive information about behaviorism as possible, and reads the old style trainers in order test her skills at re-writing their methods in a positive way to work through the same training.
