Dog Training in Massachusetts | MA Dog Trainers

In order to find a quality dog training professional in Massachusetts, you should do your research. Currently Massachusetts does not have any state regulations on becoming a dog trainer. Its important to find a professional who has not only experience, but someone who has a national certification. The CCPDT is a certification for Pet Dog Trainers. If your goal is to have a well behaved family pet, this is a great dog training certification to look for. Our Massachusetts dog trainers directory has several professionals listed.

Foxfield Dog Training is home-based and uses all reward/positive training.
My home-base training services are very custom fit to each client and his/her dog(s). I work with puppies as young as nine weeks right up through helping with adult dogs with poor manners or bad habits. I work with all breeds and sizes of dogs. My training techniques are appropriate for single dog owners or families, adults and children age 6 and over. Most of my techniques are clicker based, but some clients work better without clickers. Since every dog is different, I usually work each new behavior with the dog myself to tweak for individual needs. I then have the client use the technique on the dog to make sure it is a good fit for handler and dog. My lessons are scheduled one at a time, with no upfront fees or minimum number of lessons required. A flat hourly rate, plus travel is charged for each visit. All new behaviors can be taught using reward based training. Most problem behaviors can be eradicated without punishment, pain or fear being used on the dog. My techniques are based on knowing that dogs do what works for them. Once we teach the dog that what we want also works for them, everyone is happy. Dogs and clients alike love to see me pull into the driveway for repeat sessions. That alone tells me that I am on the right track.
