| My Lab Basset mix is crate trained so at night when everyone is going to bed we put her in the crate. However at night sometimes she will whine whine and whine. Loudly. I dont know how to get her to stop. My parents yell at her to Stop barking and even get in her face and tell her to stop but as soon as they walk away she starts whinning again. Can u please give some tips on how to get her to stop whinning. For both her sake and my family's? Im afraid that if she keeps it up my parents will take her away to another home and i love my dog. |

There are several options for dogs who whine in the car. First, put them in a crate and cover it with a sheet - this helps a lot of the time.
If that isn't an option though, you can practice sessions of doing downs in the car without driving, and rewarding when they are quiet.
If the dog just whines and there is no real anxiety you can use a squirt bottle with water to stop them. But you dont want to do that if the dog is nervous - so first you have to figure out *why* they are whining
