| Our puppy is 4 months old and it seems that for the past couple of weeks she is geting up at 5:15 5:45 and know the times are getting earlier. We let her out before she goes to bed. We are not sure what to do. I get up with her and then let her out then lay down on the couch with her and we fall back to sleep until it is time for my son to get up for school. Should I be doing this because she is a weim? I know that they are very smart dogs. |

I personally would ignore her. IF she needs to potty, at least wait until she is quiet and then let her out, but by letting her out when she makes noise, you are reinforcing her behavior which will only make it happen more often
Hope this helps some!

Thank you so much for your advice. I will definatley try that. I was readind some similar situations like mine and have been getting up when she barks then going to let her out then putting her back in her cage. That seems to work but then she only sleeps for another 2 hrs. This morning she was up at 4:45 then woke up at about 7. Thanks again for your advice I will try that and let you know what is going on. |
