I have a very odd predicament with my Adult Sheltie, Jordache. She's nearing 10 years old and in good health, except that she's a bit overweight. The vet put her on a diet and we've been sticking her to it, but she's doing something very odd now that she's on the diet...
She's been eating my clothing.
Not just mine, however. I'm 20 years old and in college for Journalism, so I still live at home. She's been eating the toes off of socks, underwear and boxers, pants, and at one point my brother saw her eating out of the cat litter.
I know it can't be good for her, especially the soiled cat litter, but no matter what we do to keep our clothing away from her, she finds something to munch on. She even started chewing on dish towels and licking the couch pillows.
What can I do to deter her from doing this? It's kind of disgusting and we're worried about her health. Anyone with ideas, please help! |
