| Hey everyone, my wife and I are having troubles with our 8 month Rottweiler with potty training. It seemed for a while that she was getting the hang of things, but has since reverted to going potty in her kennel overnight. I am usually able to take her out at 5am, as I come home from work around then, but am unable to get her to do anything most of the time. However, when I get up at 11am to take her out, she's went in her kennel. We've never had this much trouble with any of our previous dogs. We are going to try getting up every 3 hours for the next couple of nights and taking her out to see if anything happens. But, does anyone have any better advice on what we can do? |

You might want to verify she doesn't have a urinary tract infection. Watch how late she is allowed to have water. Make sure you walk her in the evenings so she can get it all out. What time are the accidents happening?

| Thanks for the advice. We actually have a vet appointment for her next week, so we'll definitely get that checked out. They are happening between 5am and 11am, while we're asleep. |

I can't be sure how you time a dog, But try feeding the dog earlier, in the day. so there is a routine of when He/she does need the toilet.. It could be you're feeding to late?.. her body sounds like it is a regular thing, a new pattern could be what she needs!
Good luck
