YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE A DOG! SO YOU SHOULD LOOK AFTER IT!
I see so many problems!, that people have with these beautiful animals.. Most of the time I'm saddened to see THE OWNERS ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING THEM!!! WHY?
A dog is a pack animal, that lives in a group! (you are his group, you are his world!!)... A crate, shuts them out of the group! (one unhappy dog)..
A puppy is better off in one room (dog proofed With a eye like a hawk for saftey!!) and a stair gate..
How can a dog have a mad five minutes in a crate? He can't!..
Dogs love fun.. Being locked up is not fun for any dog!! If anyone says dogs are happy locked up! (knows nothing about a dog!!!!!!!).
Dogs prefer to do the things you tought them when they were babies!
Once you have been through the teenage period of a puppy, (chewing/toilet training)Got to know their needs and wants (important).. he will roam the house, with your total trust!..(take the dog into each room, extending the time for good behaviour!.. don't play rough games, because when he grows into a big dog, you might not like it, Remember What you teach a puppy, Is what that dog will be!..
Would you have liked your family to have left you out!, human babies are no diffrent (they have uncontrolled toilet problems! chewing when teething! etc..
I can't stress this no more!!! PlEASE TREAT YOUR PUPPY/DOG lIKE YOU WOULD, IF IT WAS YOUR OWN BABY!
Lots of love and luck
XXXXXX <-- them kisses give to your dog! |

I have seen very few dogs have issues with crates. I have however seen the following from lack of crating
-- dogs eaten dangerous items
-- dogs getting sick from eating things they shouldn't
-- dogs who wound up in the ER vet having surgery due to eating items they shouldn't
-- dogs who have DIED from eating things while left alone
-- owners frustrated with chewed up items
-- owners frustrated with dogs not house trained
The list goes on and on. Crates save dogs lives. Loving your dog as a baby isn't going to do that. You have to leave them at some point and its better to be safe about it.
Best.

But I did say (dog proof)a room WITH A STAIR GATE!!!!!!!!!.. with nothing.. If the owner can't stand what the dog is doing!.. and had it from a pup!!!!!! What went Wrong?..
I honestly think, you have to be brought up with dogs! before you understand them!.. and a serious dog lover too.. Dogs are not show off items!.. A frind of mine says she wants a dog! and does not know a thing about them! I know where that dog will end up!..(a dogs home)..
I wish people had to fill in a form, about knowledge before having one! |

Not many people can have a room with nothing in it, but for those than can I have seen dogs destroy molding, dig through walls, bust through gates, eat doors, eat window sills and more. A crate is simple and effective. Dogs are den animals anyway, and most of us have to work outside of the home without our pets. Safety is more important than a dogs feelings.
