I've got a 6 1/2 week old yellow lab named Penny. She's great, very good about letting us know when she has to go potty, but at night time she has figured out that if she whines, we'll take her out of her crate and she doesn't always have to use the bathroom. I wind up lying on the floor next to the crate with her until she falls asleep, and then if I'm lucky, I don't wake her while putting her in the crate. Is there anything I can do to stop her from whining and help her understand that the crate is for sleep time. I'm exhausted. |

at 6.5 weeks, they have to cry its part of nature. The best advice I can give you is put her potty schedule on a timeline at night - set the alarm if you have to, but never ever respond when she cries. I also like to have the crate in the bedroom. Puppies that age weren't meant to be alone!
