Can someone tell me if they have any advice for a biting dog that won't stop? My puppy is 11 weeks old and he does not understand "no!" even when I grab him by the scruff on the side of his ncek. He does not hesitate even, just thinks I am playing.

I have read that puppies do not understand dominance or low voices saying "no" until about 12 weeks, but he has been doing well with his other training (sit, stay, come, down, drop, etc.). I want to make sure I let him know that "No!" means to stop.

Any advice?

Have you read this yet ?

This is the main point:
.. you must remove your attention every time this happens. Attention to a dog includes eye contact. With kids its best to tell them to cross their arms and stare at the ceiling. 30 seconds is about the time you should ignore your puppy. Don't push your puppy away as this can become a game quickly.

often times when you use dominance with some puppies, the y become more excited and bite / mouth more. Try out the information listed on that page and good luck!

My 7 week old pup does that too, although when my husband says NO in a really deep growly voice he tends to stop. Try and distract him with a squeeky toy or a spray of water? perhaps, thats what Im going to try next. All the best.
