hello
Our lab cross, Lara, has been peeing during the night. This used to be a regular occurence but on advice from our vet, we took the water away at night, and this seemed to work. However, we recently left the dogs in kennels while we were away, and since we came back, Lara has reverted to peeing during the night again, and the other night she left a poo as well.
The dogs get regular exercise, they are fed once a day about 6.30pm and are out right before bedtime, for about 20 mins, to go to the toilet.
Lara is about 10 months and is house trained i.e she does not pee in the house during the day.
We feed the dogs meat and mixer and this is complemented with fruit and veg occassionally. We have discovered in the last couple of days that grapes can cause kidney failure in dogs and this is one fruit that they love. We have of course stopped giving them this, but are now worried that there may be a connection. We would have been giving them fruit daily but not large amounts, maybe just 1 or 2 grapes and a strawberry, or they would get half an apple.
We also have a collie who gets the same food but she does not have the peeing problem. We have had the collie from 8weeks old and she is now 11months. The lab we got at 3 months and she had not been toilet trained at all.
Is there any advice you could give us?

She stays in the kitchen with Penny (the collie). The last couple of nights have been fine again...

If everything is OK medically, I would try crating her at night to see if this helps.
