I think maybe I will train my next pup to wear booties right from the beginning. My 15 year old Dalmatian has trouble walking and my floors are hardwood. Yikes.
I got a bunch of cheap carpets and try to cover every inch of the floor but she does sometimes manage to step on the few inches that aren't covered.
When she falls she often can't get up and I don't want her to have to struggle so hard to try.
I have let go of how my house looks with carpet overlapping carpet.
She is on "baseball" steroids to beef up her muscles and help her walk and they have worked some. (I want to take them also. Ha!)
Anything I am overlooking in helping her to gain purchase as she walks?
The massage therapist I use for her noticed that she walks better on concrete instead of grass because there are no dips or uneven surfaces. _________________ Tracy B Ann
