I have an 11 week old puppy Boxer -- we are finding that at certain times of the day (usually morning and after dinner in the evening) her behaviour is almost unmanageable -- she is super hyper, bites at our hands, arms, feet. Trying to walk away is imposssible because she attacks our feet. she has broken skin several times, and brought us both to tears. we have tried "ouch" really loud, and that doesnt' seem to have the slightest effect. I have tried growling at her, timing her out, and restraining her on her back to try to get her to let go, or stop biting. When she is good she is adorable, but these moments are making me rethink we need to send her back -- help! |

Take a look at the food you are feeding your puppy. The protein content should be 20% or below.
Also, are you giving him rawhide or pig ears? For some dogs, that is like loading up a kid on sugar. |

Try a long (one hour) exercise binge in the morning- and one at night. Try to find off leash parks where she can play -"rough house"- with other dogs. and especially run! My dog was like yours (german sheppard/Aussie cattle dog) until I exercised her out I would also recommend obiedence training- It teaches you and her about her behaviour, is a good support centre, and can show you techniques such as "relax" and ignoring bad, rewarding good behaviour.
I would take what I say into consideration because if you don't be consistant with what you learn you could be looking at a very frightful and hard road for both you and your dog.
