Just was wondering if the "biting of the ear" trick works on showing a husky who is in charge? How do I make my puppy see that I am in charge?

Do you mean you want to bite your dogs ear?

Biting of ears is soooo old school. To become a leader of the pack you must do 5 things in this order:
1) Be consistant- in training, meal times, and anything else!
2) Provide guidance- (see #1) Show your puppy what behaviour is acceptable and what isn't by using a "AHHH" or "Brrr" whenever he is doing something wrong.Reward if doing something right.
3)Provide exercise: A well exercised dog will A-sleep, B- listen (to some degree), and C-be healthy.
4) Be loving- A owner who "loses it" often, or screams, yells, acts irratically, will not only scare the dog, but will make it fearful of you.
5) Never hand feed the dog- a pack leader never offers food when eating. Never let your dog pull you on leash- A pack leader always leads (also through doors and elevators) and A pack leader always plays, but is firm on the rules.

Don't bite the dogs ear, remember your human, and if you teach your dog to fear you one day when you go to bite your dog. He may feel like challenging the pack leader and take your ear instead. A good pack leader is respected not feared.
PS- Where are you in Canada? I'm in Hamilton Ontario.
