The sound of the clicker is going to mean “FOOD” to your dog. It is VERY important that the “click” happens first, without any other distractions, and then the treat is given. Stand very calm, still, and quiet. “Click” the clicker, pause one second, then move to treat the dog. Repeat this over and over for about two minutes straight. Most dogs will understand the association between the sound “click” and food. Soon, the sound “click” will equal one treat.
