R. I. Dog Guy, LLC, offers humane, up to date training programs for people and their dogs. Both individual and group training classes are available as well as behavior consultations for problems ranging from housetraining to aggression. Training Method: All of our training programs rely primarily on positive reinforcement with limited use of negative punishment. We will employ positive punishment or negative reinforcement only rarely or as a last resort. We use both clickers and verbal markers, with a systematic program that begins with food rewards and transitions to real life rewards. For behavior consultations, we us proven methods of desensitization and counterconditioning and other techniques validated by behavior specialists and veterinary behaviorists.
